The Twilight franchise achieved a win with you in this Dan. Even if you aren't a fan, in your own words" I am at least more interested in the franchise to come".

I would imagine that a large chunk of their early box office success came from people with that mindset.

Megan, I am glad to hear that Jerry was part of the "supportive husband" cult that's been around since the dawn of romantic comedies.

My wife says that she needs to see it again to fully grasp what all happened and to get a better understanding of what all went on. I remember seeing Twilight for the second time and actually feeling like it was a better movie the 2nd time. I am not sure if New Moon will be that way as well.

Hey Dan...Jer and I went to New Moon this weekend also, and we are like you and Vivian-I have read the books and Jer hasn't. He was mildly interested, and I was kinda disapplointed with the Edward/Bella interaction too...I have come to the conclusion that a lot of 'head talking' occurs in the book, and description of emotion that is unspoken as well. So in my mind, that is really difficult to translate into film. And if they tried to verbalize the thoughts in the book for better viewing, it might just come off corny. Lots of other things can be said, but I feel like that is the major issue between a great book and an average movie. Fun to read your thoughts! Jer will be glad to know he is in good 'supportive husband' company!
