Movie News (7/15/2008): MovieTickets.Com is reporting that “The Dark Knight” has sold out over 450 screenings of the film in North America…over 150 screenings in Los Angeles and New York alone. They estimate that by the time the movie is released it might sell more advanced tickets than any other film in history.
Has anyone bought tickets for it yet? Are any of you sacrificing a good night’s sleep and attending a midnight showing?

Sold out? This makes me think that this might hit in the top ten grossing movies of all time! Any takers on that thought?

Oh, I’ve already predicted here at work $300 million in less than three weeks. It took Iron Man more than a month to hit that mark. Any takers? Do you agree?

3 weeks or less and yes I’ll be at the Harkins Cine Capri feeling like a 36 year old kid at 12:05am – the same way I did when Begins came out. This is one of those rare times when being a Batman nerd really pays off!!!

Just to whet your appetite Dan. I have to say WOW! It lives up to the hype.
There was some AWESOME acting in between all the explosions, punches and special effects, which in themselves were Great.
Heath Ledger and Christian Bale have great chemistry on the screen.
Here’s some of my thoughts on the two of them:
Heath Ledger – superb – They’ll never be able to find anybody that can do a better Joker. He was creepy, funny, ruthless, villainous and just plain psychotic. He embraced the Joker.
Christian Bale – the best Batman, I believe, you get to see all that encompasses Batman – martial arts, technology, forensics, rich elitist, and loyalty to Gotham. Bale makes you believe in all of them too.

Yeah, I’ll probably take my wife to go see it. I think it’s worth the money to see it again. This will most definitely go into my DVD collection when it comes out.
I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it after you see it.
