untrue. the fantastic four isn't bubble gum or cheesy, but it should be more about a family and adventure than about super heroing... and the movies were far from true to the comics.

i'd like to see it done right.

I totally agree...until we as a whole keep our money in our pockets and not spend it on crap, they will keep churning it out because people keep going to see them. Maybe its like you said, its familiar but I don't like it..I want new material or at least better or as good as the original. Then to make matters worse, they make sequels of movies that they had no busy doing it..can we all say Pink Panther 2 with Steve Martin??..the 1st was so bad,it was painful to watch. (On our satellite, I didn't go to the movies to see it) and then someone had a bright idea to make a 2nd one? That didn't make any sense to me at all..

Here's another point:

We as an audience love movies that are familiar. Why do you think Hollywood keeps churning out sequels? We pay money to go see something we're already familiar with. Why on earth would any of those ignorant Scary Movie spinoffs ever make any money?? Because people like parodies, it's familiar, we know them, we know what to expect, so we shell out cash for it.

Why do you think there's always another American Pie spinoff? The same reason.

We need to stand up and promote original and unique movies, and not waste money on sequels or crappy remakes. Until we do that, we can be sure that Tyler Perry's Madea will be at the top of the box office.

1. I heard that Samuel L. Jackson signed a 9 picture deal to play Nick Fury, so you can count on at least 9 from that part of the Marvel Universe.

3. Fantastic 4.3? I like that Bond is at least not numbered.

1. It will be interesting to see what they do once the Avengers movie comes out. That's supposed to be a culmination of Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, Thor, and who knows who else...

2. No. As long as a comic book movie becomes successful, there will always be more. And also, the source material is endless.

3. As long as it is successful, they can keep on adding #'s to the ends of movie titles.

WHAT THE HECK? I sure hope that this is rumor...because I am with you...F4 wasnt the greatest of comic based movies. Let those movies die first, then remake it say...when my grandkids have grandkids!

Two thoughts:
1. How many more comic books have to be made into movies?
2. Are there any more ideas out there for movies besides comic books makeovers?

okay...2 was like 1, so I will add:
3. At some point someone needs to decide the limit for movies and their sequels. (Rambo-5, Rocky-6, Harry Potter-8, Bond-934)
