there were a couple of funny parts, but I wouldn’t pay to see it. if it did come on TBS at like 2am, I might watch it.

Dumb and Dumberer was one of the biggest wastes of my time. I couldn’t agree with you more…it makes me tear up to actually think I paid money to see that movie.

I hear ya, Dan. I actually just heard from some friends the other day that the newest Bond films have a lot of Jason Bourne going on in their dynamics. Might just entice me into the world of 007!

I know it’s ridiculous, and I may be mocked to scorn for mentioning it here, but something about hearing a prequel with a younger lead actor brings about traumatic flashbacks of Dumb and Dumberer. Which, by the way, I have never even watched because the whole concept was so preposterous to me. Carrey and Daniels ARE Lloyd and Harry – end of story! I know, irrelevant and absurd, and completely different movie genre. But I sure feel better having gotten that off my chest. : ]

Roger, although it doesn’t at first seem enticing, it could be cool to see a younger actor portraying Damon when he was becoming what we know today. I, by default, automatically dismiss movies when I hear the “reboot” tag assigned to them, but using the Bond example that you brought up, it’s cool to see a younger Bond.

You should BECOME a Bond fan now Roger…

I hope this is just rumor and speculation! The Bourne franchise DOES NOT need a prequel, the rebooting fad is wearing thin, and it’s just hard to imagine anyone but Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. Then again, I guess 007 has been through plenty-o Bond actors, and their most recent iteration seems to be their strongest (based on what I’ve heard – I’m not a Bond fan).

I think it’s funny that if you look at the history of your comments, you have been a staunch supporter of the no-prequel/no-reboot scenario. I am glad that you have held strong.

Let’s seriously think about this. Prequel – we already know how he became Jason Bourne…do we really need a movie to walk us through the play by play…no.

And why does every movie now need a prequel or another movie. I wish that some series would just be left alone. I may be in the minority about this, but I would vote them both down and just say let it be what it is. The first three movies were great. Why ruin a good thing?
