Having seen all of the original series, most, if not all, of next generation, and all of the movies, it did not appeal to me the way I was hoping. The little bit of character development shown seemed weak. I love the basic premise the movie offers and was excited to hear it was coming out. The effects alone make be worth the price of admission. I'll be watching for your review before I plunk down coin. My gut reaction is this will appeal to new comers more.
