Movie News (9/18/2008): In news that is purely for humor alone, Sony is reporting that none other than David Hasselhoff will be starring in the sequel to 1997′s Beverly Hills Ninja starring the late Chris Farley. Sadly, this isn’t a joke. The writer of the original movie, Mitch Klebanoff, will be making his directorial debut with Chris Farley’s brother, Kevin Farley lending his hand as co-producer.

Discussion: Are you kidding me?! I can hardly stomach the rumors of a proposed Ghostbusters reboot as they will probably RUIN the franchise by doing so, but the idea of a sequel to a movie I don’t even remember seeing is preposterous! What do you guys think? Can you remember anything about the original?

Don’t remember that movie at all. Why cant they just leave some movies alone from the past??….cmon!!

  • So, is The Hoff going to be the Beverly Hills Ninja? Cause that’s just stupid. I like Kevin Farley and think that he would be honored to fill his brothers… ninja… outfit… thingy.
The original was stupid, but funny. I actually watched a few minutes of it a couple of weeks ago.

Ghostbusters? Never cared too much for it. Well, my mom thought it was evil, so I didn’t really get to watch it, but we did have the toys, so in the end the movie companies still won our $$.
Knowing nothing about the new version, I wonder who would be tapped to play the characters, which raises a huge question…
Who are the comedic actors of our day that fill the roles once played by the likes of Bill Murray and Steve Martin?

Ryan, The Hoff is not going to be the Ninja as the plot describes an orphan kid (who will probably be played by a High School Musical alum) who wants to train to be a ninja in Beverly Hills.

@Ghostbusters, right now Harold Ramis and some writers from The Office are currently developing a script. Ramis says about the next movie, “…the concept is that the old Ghostbusters would appear in the film in some mentor capacity. Not much else to say at this point. Everyone is confident a decent script can be written and I guess we’ll take it from there.”

  • I am ANTI-Hoss. I mean come on!

Ghostbusters “reboot?” I am in! Id actually like to see a new twist to that. With todays CGI…it could be good. Wait…what am I saying…

LEAVE THE PAST IN THE PAST! Create some new ideas with young actors! Come on guys!
