Movie News (7/3/2008): USA Today has your first look at 7 new photos from the upcoming Harry Potter installment, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”
My wife and I have just begun to delve into the world of Harry Potter this summer and of this posting, I am currently reading the 4th book and Vivian is reading the 6th, so these photos are pretty exciting. So far the movies haven’t lived up to the books but they are still entertaining in their own skin.
How many of you are excited about Harry Potter? Are you obsessed? Indifferent?

I am excited. Each movie gets a little edgier as they are going along. I cannot wait for the movie to come out! I wish they’d go head and finish these movies like Lord of the Rings and Matrix…shoot ‘em all now and them bring them out 6 or so months between.

I did, thanks Scotto! Are you one of those intense, obsessed fans? I really enjoy the literary nature of the books, I really think J.K. is an awesome story teller.
The movies have been good lately, it’s just neat to see a book I’ve read FIRST visualized as a film, but being that I read it first, I am starting to develop a minor distaste in how close to the books the movies are.
I need to be careful I don’t turn into one of “those people.”
My wife is more of a fan than I am. She’s read the books. I am just a movie fan. I stayed away from them for a long time, but I was home with nothing to do and no wife…so I had a Harry Potter marathon. I became a fan. I think the older movies are the better movies.
I cannot comment to how close the books the movies are…but I enjoy the movies!
