I want to say what a huge privilege it was to have the opportunity to spend a whole day at the movies courtesy of Truth On Cinema’s Best Picture Contest! It was a staggering thought to enter the movie theater and know that for the next 13 hours I was going to be apart of so many amazing moments on screen!

The event was truly a fantastic chance to experience the quality of both AMC Theatres’ dedication to good films (this was their third year to offer the Best Picture Showcase), as well as ToC showing me a wonderful day! Everything was taken care of for me as the winner, from wonderful snacks, meals and ultimately being able to watch 5 amazing movies (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was the best)!!

My number one takeaway from this event was a clearer sense of why movies speak to me. Seeing multiple films of this caliber returned me to a vision of why I am both an optimist and an idealist. So much struggle, but even more triumph and victory! I would have never known about such an event had I not followed Truth On Cinema. Furthermore, I am certain that I would have never committed a whole day at the movies like this had I not been drawn in more and more to the cinema by ToC. Over the course of my participation as a faithful reader and enthusiastic supporter I have gained both passion and immense knowledge concerning movies and this event was a grand reward!
