		<description>pretty in pink is a great movie but the studio took it away from hughes and ruined it by changing the ending. 

check out some kind of wonderful. it&#039;s the movie he made immediately after with the same director and it&#039;s the same general story but the gender roles are reversed. it&#039;s interesting that it&#039;s acceptable to have that story when the gender roles are in one position but not the other. i think it&#039;s a much better film since it&#039;s able to get across the ideas that hughes wanted to get across. 

but i agree, jon cryer was amazing as duckie.</description>
