Indiana Jones...SPOILER WARNING...

Maybe not, but I'll say it just in case I give something away that spoils it for you.

19 years waiting for the 4th installment...not worth the wait for me. I think that I was overly excited to see this movie, which may have hurt my chances of liking this movie as much.

Overall I was really liking this movie. It was great to see that they kept fairly true to form from the start of the movie. I loved the story of the movie and was really excited for 3/4s of the movie.

But with this fourth movie, I thought that there were a couple of things that just spoiled the movie for me.

Two major things for me:

1. Crystal-Skulled Aliens. Indiana Jones if nothing else, was really cool to watch to learn about history and ancient civilizations (real and fake...and human!), but not alien civilizations! Of course you dont learn about this until the end, but it really took away from the movie. Take the aliens out and replace them with an ancient Indian tribe, we're talking about a really cool 4th movie.

2. Too many CGI moments. And to be honest, there weren't too many, but enough that took away from the movie some for me! I thought that there were a couple of moments where there was CGI, but it was well mixed into the movie where if you didnt know any better, you wouldnt think it was CGI.

On a more positive note:

Really cool elements about this movie where:

1. The tributes to the previous three movies. Some of them were subtle, but they were in there.

2. I also like that there was an inclusion of former characters (or at least what happen to them). The only major one left out was Kate Capshaw.

3. There's a really cool scene with people that had been mummified (if that is even a word). I dont know if it could really happen like that, but it was a creative part of the movie and I was amazed.

4. And of course...the archaeological side of this movie was fascinating and pretty cool.

Again overall it was a good movie, but not worth waiting 19 years for. I thought that it was the 4th best IJ movie.

... but that's just my opinion.

That would be so great if you could get to see movies before they come out to the general public..and if you need an assistant to go to the movies for you in case you can't go..I am up for the job..8-)

Scotto, I am in the process of trying to acquire a press pass for reviewing movies at press screenings. It's an arduous process as I'm sure you would guess, but don't worry, ToC is on it!

Like your wife and Twilight, I am hard-pressed to gain access to early movie screenings and make my way into the theater...

Well I went to see Ironman and I enjoyed it. I think what helped was I was not excited to see RDJr, but his performance was good and overall the movie was excited to watch!

There are some awesome movies to watch. ToC...have you contacted anyone from the Studios to gain access as a "Reviewer" so that you can preview these movies at sneak peeks and such? I would love to have your take on some of these movies before I go spend my money!

Didnt know where you stand on that!

I really enjoyed Ironman also. I think Downey did a great job and it kept my interest the whole movie. Just a note to all that there is a 40 second bonus at the end of the credits so stick around for it!!

Ironman surprised me. It was actually a really good movie. Downey puts in a great performance as a genius weapons designer who gets a rather harsh glimpse of the other side of a gun barrel and changes his ways. Gweneth is lovely as his "man-friday" and Bridges is somewhat convincing as the second-in-command bad guy...special effects are superb, I loved it!
