What’s This Site About

There are a lot of movie blogs on the web that are way better at giving you the latest on any movie that’s coming out. I am not looking to compete with any of them and try to guarantee that I’ll be able to be your source for “all things movies” because frankly, I am a regular guy with a normal 8-5 job with a family…but that doesn’t deter my love for movies. The goal of Truth On Cinema is to be your local “road map” for discovering stuff about movies that I love and that I think you want to talk about. I read about movies all day, everyday. Let me do the leg work for you and all I ask of you is to join me at the table to talk about them.

Who’s Behind Truth On Cinema

Truth On Cinema is solely run, designed, and maintained by me, Daniel DeHart. For as long as I can remember, movies have been important to me. I love to watch them and let them take me away to another place, a place where I am the strongest, the smartest, the tough guy, the nerd-who-gets-the-girl, the jock who gets it in the end, the anti-hero that everyone loves to hate, and all of the other characters that make up a movie. When it comes to reviewing movies, they won’t be littered with high-brow terminology or laced with phrases that only “movie biz people” understand. I am just going to call it like I see it. Did it entertain me? Was the story riveting? How well were the characters developed? Did I have to lower my expectations to enjoy it?
